Ratings Explanation
How we score products and what each verdict actually means.
The 1–10 score
Every product gets an overall score from 1 to 10. It blends expert reviews, aggregated user ratings, real-world reliability signals, and value for money at the current typical price.
- 9–10 — Best in class. Buy with confidence.
- 7–8 — Strong choice. Minor trade-offs.
- 5–6 — Mixed. Consider alternatives first.
- 3–4 — Weak. Better options exist.
- 1–2 — Avoid.
The verdict
Alongside the score we give a one-word call. It reflects whether the product is worth your money today, not just how good it is in isolation.
- Buy — Strong recommendation. It delivers on its promise at a fair price.
- Consider — Good product, but it depends on your needs or there are close alternatives worth comparing.
- Wait — Hold off. A refresh, price drop, or better version is likely soon.
- Skip — Don't buy. Better options exist, or the product underdelivers.
How reviews are weighted
We prioritize independent expert reviews and long-term user feedback over short first-impression posts. Sponsored content is flagged and discounted. Affiliate commissions never influence the score.
